Words from our Recipients

“I am very grateful to have been given the opportunity to be awarded this scholarship. It has helped me in a lot of ways. A lot of people who come from where I come from, struggle with the idea of how they will pay for college or find places to live due to financial burden, so this [award] has helped relieve stress for me and my family.”

Dior Hazel, Pennsylvania State University

Major: Sociology

“I am beyond grateful for the scholarship awarded to me by the 1926 Foundation, Inc. as it has allowed me to get my own computer, pay for tuition and meet my amazingly talented classmates.”

Jazmyn Roberson, Howard University

Major: Acting

Minor: Play Writing
